I told you guys the other day that I've started watching The Twilight Zone series for the (mostly) first time -- last night I caught the episode about the killer talking doll ("My name is Talky Tina and I don't forgive you!") and the episode called "The Eye of the Beholder," one of the best known ones, about ugly pretty people and pretty ugly people and pleased to meet you, Edson Stroll.
I guess he was a bodybuilder turned actor (it shows!) that showed up just in time for the 60s Beefcake Craze (as if it was limited to just the 1960s or something) - he was actually in two episodes of The Twilight Zone, and I need to watch his other episodes, called "The Trade-Ins" immediately...
After those he was on McHale's Navy for a few years and then mostly took a huge break through the 70s, only to pop up a few times on the shows you'd expect him to have appeared on in the 1980s - Dynasty, check! Hotel, check! Dallas, check! He died in 2011. But he will forever live on as the hideous troll of The Twilight Zone. Just hideous! I gathered up a few more shots of him after the jump...
