THR
is reporting that Charlie Hunnam is out and his
Pacific Rim partner Idris Elba is in as the star of
The Mountain Between Us, a romantic thriller about a couple who gets stranded in the wilderness after a plane crash, only to fall in love among the reeds and/or adversities. It's based on
a best-selling book by Charles Martin. When Charlie was going to star in it (see our previous post
here) it was Margot Robbie and then Rosamund Pike who were going to play opposite him; no word on where they'll go casting-wise now but it doesn't sound like it will be either of them there blonde ladies. And here's where I make my pitch for the film to star both Idris AND Charlie and for it to now be about the two of
them falling in love.
Pretty please? Seriously. PLEASE?
