FSLC has just announced they are doing a retrospective of the films of the French legend Jean-Pierre Léaud at the end of the month -- Léaud got his start with the one-two punch of Truffaut's 400 Blows and Jean Cocteau's Testament of Orpheus and just kept going and going and going and going from there. His new film The Death of Louis XIV is opening at the end of the month and to celebrate they're showing 20 of his movies, spanning the past 50 years, and goddamn it's a bunch of masterpieces. You can see the entire schedule here - I'm most excited to see Godard's 1967 film La Chinoise, which I have never seen, because I have long known from pictures that it deserves a spot in our "Greatest Moments in Movie Shelves" series...
