The six foot three pillar of sexy decency named Gary Cooper was born 117 years ago today -- I can guarantee you a good time if you click through our archive of sixty posts on him, up to and including this past weekend's "I Quit Smoking" post (I especially liked the shot of a very young Cooper, one which I had never seen until recently). There really might not be any better entertainment than the pairing of Coop with a wanton woman (a la Barbara Stanwyck or Marlene Dietrich) who looks him up and down and declares with her wanton eyes that she wants a piece of that - his aww-shucks who-me blushes are what make the movies go around.
